My Wedding Photographer

Wedding is finally over. I am quite happy with everything. Things went fine and we are greatly blessed.

I quite like the actual day slide show prepared by Edwin and Stephen from Weddingmomentz. I have watched it quite a number of times. However, i was quite disappointed with Edwin's attitude though. I personally think he's not initiative and professional enough. I am not a professional photographer, but i do think there are things that even an amateur photographer should not do. Firstly, they told us that they have kept their equipments around 12pm on actual day morning when we requested them to take some more photos from us. I think it's not difficult thing to do. In the very beginning, they even promised to bring us to bukit jalil garden to take some photos, but we didnt request for that as we are quite busy and tired. So we were quite disappointed that they said that.

During the wedding dinner, we need to ask them to take photo after we have done our post. I think they should be more initiative. Worst of all, when requested them to take a family photo after wedding dinner, Edwin showed us a reluctant face saying he had run out of battery and kept his equipment. Even quite a number of my friends asked us why our photographer behaved like that. I hardly saw Edwin smile throughout the day, whereas Stephen is more responsive and initiative. He's the one who helped us to take the family photo after the wedding dinner.

I know their current price is higher than the price we booked them some time ago. However, i believe they still have the responsibility to deliver what they have promised. it's the right attitude that make a successful photographer.

Sharing #2

Getting to understand what 'it's all about me' is really all about. Spent some time to revise what was taught in MPC. Telling myself why go through the class if you cant even recall what is being taught. Then i browsed through the text book again, only i realize quite a lot of content was totally disappear in my memory.

I am a bit tired, i think i rather spend more time to read the text book than typing here... :)

Sharing #1

Wow,cant believe the time passes so fast. I have not been updating my blogs for more than half a year. Unbelievable.

Lots of things happened in the pass few months. I found a new job, adopting to a new environment; made progress in wedding preparation, getting busier as i need to travel back to KL weekly from Oct onward; saw some communication barrier being broken between family members; Learned a lot of things from pass experience, there are good and bad decisions that were made, and have to be responsible to them. It is hurt when going through an argument, but starting to learn it is not so important to being right, i rather choose to end an argument by being wrong and giving up my own rights sometimes. I cannot change a person, so why not change myself instead. People who really love us most of the time give difficult directions for us, but it is still better than sweet opinions that leads to the wrong path. 'Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.' Pr 27:5-6.

Need the grace of God. The busier i am, i realize the more i need to spend time to pray. Trying my best effort to keep my eyes on the Lord, to build a strong foundation to prepare for the storms to come. Hoping to share the vision...

Well, it is good to have a blog. i roughly browse through past posting, i went through quite some difficult in the beginning of the year. There are different seasons in life, let's continue to run this race with faith and finish well.

By the way, i have received my wedding album design layout. Please give a visit to the link here

Temporary pass/Emergency pass to Singapore

What should you do when you lost your malaysia passport and need to travel back to singapore for work?

1) Make a police report stating CLEARLY(give a 'better' reason if needed) how you lost your passport at the nearest police station. Then ask them if they can certified the police report or not(RM 2 per copy). If they say can then is great, they will give a stamp on the report, else they will ask you to go to one of the special branch (cawangan khas) to get a letter saying that the report is true, and then come back to them to do certification. The branch that i went was below:

IPD subang jaya
Seri kembangan
(close to jaya jusco)

2) Original birthcert (2 copies)

if your original birth cert is in singapore. Please go to Jabatan Pendaftaran Malaysia(JPN) to get an extraction of birth cert. Need to fill in just one 2 pages form. Just need your parent names, ic no, place of birth. No need to have a birth cert copy, but is good to bring along to fill in the details. No need to have birth cert serial number, they can check it out for you.

3) Original IC (2 copies)

4) 4 passport photos (get be taken at imigration department, shirt with collar), 2 for passport, 2 for emergency pass.

5) Employment letter (2 copies)

Can ask your company to fax to you. If possible, ask you company to say in the letter that you are required to go back to singapore as soon as possible. This will help in getting an emergency pass.

6) 2 copies of passport (If you have this, it will save you a lot of trouble to fill in the form bellow)

7) Go to imigration department. Take the forms below:
a) borang permohonan pasport (IM. 42 - pin 1/97) X 2 copies
one for passport, one for emergency pass.
b) Borang soal selidik kehilangan pasport malaysia (Im .42c)

8) Fill in all the form carefully. The reson in form (b) on how you lost your passport should match your police report.

9) Bring the form (b) and police report to the nearest Seksyen Majistret or Pesuruhjaya Sumpah to get a stamp.

10) Bring all the completed form to imigration department again and request on getting a temporary pass (sijil perakuan cemas) to singapore.

11) Pay RM50 for the emergency pass.

12) This pass allow you to travel to singapore and come back to malaysia ONCE ONLY!! PLease make sure that you can come back to do passport by calling to imigration before coming back to malaysia.

Youtube Architecture

Anyone of you ever wonder what kind of architecture is being used behind the scene by Youtube, the famous online video sharing website? Did a little bit on research on it and found out that they only have 2 system admin, 2 scalability software architects, 2 feature developers, 2 network engineers and a DBA (source). Actually i'm a bit interested in finding out how to manage to filter out video which carry copyright or illicit items.

Share with me if you know more... :)
